Cabergoline

Cabergoline is a dopamine agonist used to lower prolactin levels by acting on dopamine D2 receptors. It is commonly utilized to manage prolactin-related side effects, support hormonal balance, and improve libido and sexual functionwhen elevated prolactin is present. Its long half-life allows for infrequent dosing.

Common dosing:
• 0.25 mg 1–2× per week
• Up to 0.5 mg 2× per week (advanced use)
Typically taken with food to improve tolerance.
